HD Liposculpture in Puerto Vallarta
HD Liposuction: sculpting and body contouring
Surgical removal of localized fat deposits and detailed definition of natural muscle contours, achieving an athletic, toned, and slender silhouette.

What is High-Definition Liposuction?
Liposuction (or liposculpture) is a body contouring procedure designed to remove stubborn fat deposits that resist diet and exercise, beautifully refining the natural contours of your abdomen, waist, and flanks.
Our philosophy prioritizes muscle sculpting while respecting safe hemodynamic limits. Liposculpture is not a cure for obesity or a massive weight loss technique. We strictly adhere to global safety guidelines, extracting a maximum of 5 liters of total fat/fluids per session to avoid severe electrolyte imbalances. Through tumescent infiltration technology, we facilitate the removal of adipocytes with less vascular trauma.
The goal is to sculpt defined contours, accentuating the insertions of the rectus abdominis muscles and the midline to achieve a healthy, firm, and athletic appearance.
What it changes
- ✓Definitive removal of stubborn fat deposits
- ✓Aesthetic definition of abdominal lines and waist
- ✓Reduction of measurements in the waist, back, and thighs
What it does not change
- •Generalized obesity or massive weight loss
- •Severe skin laxity (requires a tummy tuck)
- •Visceral fat surrounding your internal organs
What does the plan typically include?
HD Liposculpture includes treatment of multiple areas and the use of technology to care for your skin:
Tumescent Technique
Injection of a special saline solution with epinephrine before suction, which numbs the area, constricts blood vessels, and minimizes blood loss.
Muscle Shading (HD Lipo)
Precise extraction of superficial fat layers along the rectus abdominis, drawing the shadows of the linea alba for a toned and firm contour.
4 mm Microincisions
Access through tiny incisions of just a few millimeters camouflaged in natural abdominal folds or the belly button, healing into virtually imperceptible marks.
* It can be combined with a fat transfer (lipofilling) to increase buttock volume (BBL) or define shoulders in men.
You may be a candidate if...
- ✓You are close to your ideal weight but have localized fat that does not respond to physical exercise.
- ✓You have firm, elastic skin with good retraction capacity after fat removal.
- ✓You seek to define the muscular lines of your abdomen or back in detail.
- ✓You are in good general health and maintain healthy eating habits.
It is advisable to evaluate alternatives if...
- •You are looking to treat generalized obesity; in this case, a guided diet or bariatric surgery is required.
- •You have severe skin laxity or an abdominal apron after pregnancies (requires a tummy tuck / abdominoplasty).
- •You have high deposits of visceral fat (fat located behind the muscle surrounding internal organs, which cannot be removed with a cannula).
How We Define Your Plan
An individualized clinical evaluation is essential. We assess the thickness of your subcutaneous fat, the firmness of your abdominal wall, and skin retraction quality to plan a safe HD liposuction.
“We seek to shape your silhouette safely. We evaluate your body mass index to schedule a hemodynamically stable extraction.”
We measure the thickness of subcutaneous fat in the upper and lower abdomen and flanks to map the extraction areas.
We check the strength of your rectus muscles and if you have diastasis recti or prior umbilical hernias.
We determine if your skin will respond by adhering firmly after removing the subcutaneous fat support.
The Procedure, Explained Simply
A mixture of saline solution and a vasoconstrictor is injected to reduce bleeding and facilitate fat cell removal.
Fat is extracted evenly using millimeter-thin cannulas connected to a regulated vacuum system.
Performed under controlled general anesthesia or epidural block depending on the number of areas to be treated.
Generally outpatient, or staying overnight for a short stay if multiple areas are treated.
Preparing for Your Surgery
Responsible preparation is essential to optimize surgical safety and facilitate a smooth, comfortable postoperative recovery.
Recovery Timeline
The postoperative process of liposuction requires discipline in using elastic garments and therapeutic massage sessions.
Days 1 to 3 — Fluids and Swelling
It is normal to drain pink fluid through the microincisions. You must maintain relative rest at home and wear the compression garment continuously.Day 5 — Start of Lymphatic Massage
We begin mandatory sessions of ultrasound and manual lymphatic drainage to reduce tissue swelling and prevent fibrosis.Week 2 — Return to Work
Most patients return to office work. You must continue to wear the compression garment 24 hours a day and avoid heavy lifting.Months 2 to 3 — Return to Exercise & Final Results
Gym routines and abdominal exercises may be resumed. Residual swelling fully resolves, stably revealing the defined silhouette contours.

Cost of HD Liposuction: What Determines the Budget
The cost of high-definition liposuction should not be defined generically or without a prior medical consultation. Each surgical estimate is customized and depends on the specifics of your case.
During your clinical consultation, Dr. Uriel Muñoz will assess your anatomy and define a customized surgical plan. The final cost of the procedure is determined based on the following factors:
- •Number of body areas to be treated (abdomen, flanks, back, arms).
- •Complementary use of advanced technology for fat removal or skin tightening.
- •Operating room fees at a safe hospital facility.
- •Fees for the anesthesiologist, surgeon, and postoperative follow-up consultations.
