What is a Mommy Makeover?

A Mommy Makeover is a combination of procedures chosen according to your case to address common changes after pregnancy: abdomen, bust and, in some cases, body contouring.

“It is not a ‘fixed package’. In assessment we define what it does and doesn't provide. The objective is to improve proportion, contour and comfort while respecting real limits and prioritizing safety.”

What does it usually include?

These are common combinations (not all apply to all patients):

Abdomen

  • Correction of excess skin and/or abdominal flaccidity.
  • Abdominal wall revision when there is muscular separation (diastasis).
  • Bust

  • Lift, augmentation or reduction, depending on the case and your objective.
  • Shape and proportion adjustments.
  • Body contouring

    When applicable:

  • Liposculpture or definition of specific areas to harmonize the global result.
  • Who is it for?

You may be eligible if you are seeking a comprehensive improvement and meet criteria that are reviewed at appraisal.

It could be for you if:

    - You have finished pregnancy/breastfeeding and wish to adjust changes in the abdomen and/or breasts.
    - You are at or near your target weight.
    - You are looking for a change with realistic expectations.

It could be for you if:

    - You are planning another pregnancy in the short term.
    - You are in a period of important weight changes.
    - You have medical conditions that require prior evaluation.

Your assessment: how we define the plan

The appraisal is designed to avoid hasty decisions:

The procedure, explained in simple terms

A Mommy Makeover combines procedures in the same surgery or in stages, depending on safety and your case.

    It is decided at appraisal:

    - Which procedures should be combined and which should not.
    - In what order it is performed.
    - What you expect to see and in what time frame.

    Where it is performed:

    Puerto Vallarta: CMQ Hospital
    Tepic: Puerta de Hierro Hospital

    Preparation (before surgery)

Proper preparation reduces problems and enhances your experience:

“If you carry a baby or have an intense routine, this is planned in advance: it's not a minor detail.”

    Recovery and follow-up

Recovery varies. Here is a general guide (your case may require adjustments):

    First days
Priority: rest, control of discomfort and gradual mobility as indicated.

    First weeks
Progressive changes: inflammation and shape evolve over time. Follow-up to check evolution and care.

    Medium term
The result is seen gradually as the body deflates and heals.

Signs to consult: If you have a question or something “doesn't feel normal”, the right thing to do is to write to the team and receive guidance.

    Risks and considerations

All surgery involves risks. In evaluation is explained clearly and your doubts are answered.

General examples: bleeding, infection, healing other than expected, irregularities or need for adjustments.

We do not promise absence of risk; we work with safety measures and monitoring.

    Medical Philosophy

Medical tourism in Puerto Vallarta + coordination

If you are coming from another city or country, you can start with a virtual consultation and organize your process with the support of a patient coordinator.

    What it does include:

    - Flow orientation: steps, agenda and logistical recommendations.
    - Support to reach assessment with clarity.

    What it does not include:

    - Promises of guaranteed results or times.
    - Medical decisions without assessment.
