Bichectomy is a cosmetic surgical procedure in which fat pads in the cheeks, known as Bichat's pouches, are removed. These fat pads are located under the cheekbones, in the cheeks, and are more prominent in some people than in others. <\/p>

It is an outpatient procedure that is performed under local anesthesia and usually lasts about an hour.
